2011 Executive Management Program
Leadership Development for High-Performing Minority & Women FirmsNorth Carolina DOT in partnership with the North Carolina Institute of Minority Economic Development is sponsoring the 5th year of the Construction Executive Management Program at the UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School. The program is a six-day residential program providing contractors and engineering professionals executive level training by faculty of the UNC Chapel Hill Kenan-Flagler Busniess School. This year's program will run from Sunday, February 20 through Friday, February 25, 2011.
In the past North Carolina DOT has welcomed firms from North Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee, and Ohio. They are encouraging states to take a look at the Program Website at http://www.ncimed.com/constructionemp/ and consider sponsoring high-potential DBE firms from your state. North Carolina DOT has found that the interaction between DBEs from other states has greatly added to the value of the program.
Please contact Shelton A. Russell, Director, NCDOT, Business Opportunity and Workforce Development by email at sarussell@ncdot.gov or by phone at 919.508.1798 if you have any questions or you would like to discuss options for getting DBEs from your state to the program. The program fee is largely subsidized through North Carolina DOTs DBE Suportive Services funding, and is only $600 for the DBE firms.
Please view a video from last year's program by visiting www.ncbowd.com and clicking on the You Tube video on the home page.
