NSBDC DBE Training Series: Project Scheduling *and* How to Estimate a Project, Las Vegas September 20, 2012 and Reno, Elko and Winnemucca October 3, 2012
These trainings are more offerings from the Nevada Small Business Development Center (NSBDC) to benefit DBEs with interest in working within Nevada's highway construction industry.
Project Scheduling, 90 minutes
This class covers the basic concepts of scheduling terminology, the use of project schedules and progress schedules. Contrators will gain a better understanding of the most common and required scheduling types including bar charts, the critical path method and learn to better schedule for lead times.
How to Estimate a Project, 90 minutes
Planning and design take place before construction plans are released for bids. This segment will describe the basics of how NDOT develops plans and advertises for bids.
